There has been quite a lot of algorithm references this week, thank you to everyone as well that sent some through! I’m sad we couldn’t talk about them IRL, but hopefully the below suffice ❤️

If you are on TikTok and haven’t seen these videos or at least references to them, please send me some of your references because your algorithm is built different. Reesa Teesa is someone who married a pathological liar and is telling us in a 50+ part series on TikTok about how they met, all the way up until their divorce. Even if you don’t care too much about the content that she is sharing, the discourse around it is fascinating. Firstly, we have more proof that attention spans are still strong - it’s just people’s patience and tolerance for shitty content is at its lowest, we all benefit when we have a common enemy in this series it’s Legion and finally, it’s exciting to see a black woman tell her story and make money off it (hopefully from the creator fund which is incredible in America). There are soo many reactions to her such as this real estate company talking about checking your mans funds, people are creating their own storytimes with the same wording e.g. “Who tf raised me”, people putting their iPads in the shower to listen and of course, people suggesting brands that should react and give her products like the blue BMW that she references in one of the parts as her dream car. I’m excited to see how it all unfolds because we’ve already got one of the ex-wives posting and responding and the alleged Legion has also posted photos of his funds to prove he has money - someone has already debunk this… awkward.

No Borax No Glue

There is maybe a new saying going around which is “no borax no glue”. This is referencing a popular search for young people who want to make slime, but don’t have borax or glue available - meaning you can’t actually make slim but you can really try. It pretty much means talking about something that probably will never happen, no matter how much you try and wish it would. Here is a video explaining if you care lol
